Westside Studio – 2010 Wrap-Up!

A quick summary of what Westside Studio accomplished in 2010:

We threw a BIG party to celebrate our 25th Anniversary!

We joined Facebook and Twitter.

Three artists joined the studio: Ryan Enn Hughes, Nikki Ormerod and Andrew B. Myers.

Matt Barnes exhibited Panthers at Pikto Gallery, won a Bronze Lion at Cannes and hired his first full-time assistant.

Tom Feiler split his time between shooting stills & directing commercials.

Chris Gordaneer launched a new website and won the APA Photo Competition.

Tyler Gray had the best year of his career.

According to Archive Magazine’s photo ranking, Frank Hoedl is tied for #1 in Canada and #18 internationally.

Vicky Lam started working commercially and was featured in Poor But Sexy Magazine.

Russell Monk spent 3 weeks in Cuba shooting for Cuba Tourism.

Andrew B. Myers graduated from Ryerson University and spent 8 months developing his commercial portfolio. He joined Westside Studio in early December and we’re proud to represent him.

Nikki Ormerod shot a number of elaborate, self-financed creative projects. She was featured on Fashion Television. And her cotton candy promo was well received.

Derek Shapton and his wife welcomed their third son. He shot a number of editorial assignments for magazines like Toronto Life and Cottage Life.

Shanghoon expanded his food portfolio and participated in Drawn To Develop.

George Simhoni completed his first motion creative and did A LOT of work-related and personal travel.

RGB Move by Ryan Enn Hughes was broadcast throughout Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympics. He collaborated with The Big Freeze on two “time-slice” motion projects (currently in post-production). And he shot a number of celebrities, live performances and fashion assignments for the Globe & Mail (Drew Barrymore, Sir Richard Branson, Edward Norton, Zack Galifianakis, Lady Gaga, Drake, Iggy Pop & more). He blogs and posts updates on Twitter.

Shanghoon, Ryan Enn Hughes and Andrew B. Myers were selected to participate in the Magenta Foundation’s inaugural Flash Forward Festival.

Producer Phaedra Kennedy completed her 6th marathon!

And photo agent Shelley Hayes rejoined the studio!
